Rörstrand Museum has now chosen six working ceramicists from Västra Götaland who will participate in the European Ceramic Market in Höhr-Grenzhausen, Germany, on 6–7 June 2026. Rörstrand Museum is the coordinator, with support from Region Västra Götaland.
The chosen ceramicists:
Annika Svensson
Annika Svensson is a Swedish ceramist/tiled stove maker/artist, who lives and works in Sweden.
Maria Kristofersson
Drawing is the basis for all my artistic work. I focus on Line and Surface regardless of the material.
Lise Wichmann Hansen
I am Lise Wichmann Hansen, a ceramic artist and potter based in Dalsland, a hilly landscape of forests and lakes in western Sweden. I specialize in wood-fired, salt-glazed ceramics, primarily functional pieces like cups and bowls.
Nike Kero
Nike Kero is a ceramic artist based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her practice draws on craft traditions from various cultures, exploring their historical and cultural significance.
Sanni Alatyppö
I’m Sanni, born i Finland, based in Lidköping Sweden.
Creating has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Caroline Fredriksson
I am a ceramicist and I design and produce all my creations by hand in my workshop in Lidköping, Sweden since 2013
About Höhr-Grenzhausen
Europäischer Keramikmarkt är ett internationellt evenemang som årligen samlar runt 130 utvalda keramiker och marknaden lockar cirka 30 000 besökare. Deltagande i marknaden erbjuder möjlighet till försäljning, publikkontakt och internationellt nätverkande. Under marknadsdagarna arrangeras även Offene Deutsche Töpfermeisterschaft och Keramikmuseum Westerwald anordnar aktiviteter och flera lokala verkstäder håller öppet.
About Höhr-Grenzhausen
The town is an important centre for ceramics in Germany, with a long tradition of production, training and artistic development. It’s particularly well known for its stoneware, which is typically made of the Westerwald clay which is found in the surrounding area. Ceramics can be seen all around the town and every year the museum presents the International Westerwald Prize for contemporary ceramics.
