THE BIG IN THE SMALL 17 JUNE – 15 OCTOBER
An exhibition of miniatures, larger objects and even larger objects.
This temporary exhibition is about both tiny and large objects, about how they come to be and about the human fascination with them.
What really is the big deal about the small? The exhibition curiously explores proportions and what is special about making small and large things. Ceramic miniatures are displayed alongside larger ceramic objects that are similar in shape and sometimes also in decoration. You will also get to see several of the museum’s art nouveau objects as small 3D prints alongside their larger ceramic originals. Another type of miniatures are dollhouse items, they will also have a place in the exhibition.
Welcome to think about what pettiness is for you!
