Accessibility

WE WANT TO BE AS ACCESSIBLE FOR AS MANY AS POSSIBLE.

Everyone is welcome to Rörstrand Museum. Rörstrand Museum wants to be as accessible as possible for as many as possible Read more about accessibility here.

ENTRANCE

The main entrance has an automatic door opener.

PARKING

Closest to the main entrance are two parking spaces reserved for those with mobility impairments. It is about 20 meters from the car park to the main entrance.

COACHES

Please drive up to the main entrance and drop visitors off. Coach parking is available on Tullgatan.

GUIDES & ASSISTANTS

Guides and assistants visit the museum free when accompanying a visitor needing help.

HEARING

Unfortunately we do not have any hearing loops at present. Audio amplifiers are used on guided tours.

WELLBEING

At certain times the museum can be noisy and busy, but there are many calmer moments as well, so do get in touch with us. Tuesdays are often quieter, as are weekday afternoons.

GUIDE AND ASSISTANCE ANIMALS

Trained and certified guide and assistance animals are allowed in the whole museum and cafe.

LANGUAGES

All exhibitions texts are available in Swedish and English.

TOILETS

There are two toilets in the reception area. One of these is accessible and has a wall mounted baby changing table.

ALLERGIES

There are usually lactose free, milk protein free, gluten free and egg free alternatives in the cafe but the selection varies. Please call beforehand and we will try to solve something that suits you. Since we bake and cook everything on site, there is a risk that it may have come into contact with an allergen. The assortment includes pastries with nuts.

STOOLS

Available to borrow in reception.

LOCKERS

Next to reception there are several different sizes of locker where you can select your own code.

ACCESSIBILITY AROUND THE EXHIBITIONS

The museum and cafe are located on the ground floor in part of the old porcelain factory. There is accessibility for pushchairs, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and mobility aids in all parts of the museum apart from furthest in by the kiln which is down a flight of steps. The old round kiln can be seen but not got around. Some parts of the reception desk are quite high but it is lower by the cafe area.
